The Wacky Hair Co. is Cambridge's premier independent hair studio — a collective of resident stylists under one roof. They needed a digital platform that matched their in-person experience: premium, seamless, and built around how they actually work.
We built a fully custom booking system and progressive web app from scratch. No third-party booking widgets. No monthly SaaS fees. A system designed specifically for a multi-stylist salon with complex scheduling, real-time availability, and integrated payment processing.
Unlike traditional salons, Wacky Hair operates with independent resident stylists. The booking system was engineered around this — each stylist manages their own schedule, services, and pricing within a unified platform.
We built the booking system as a progressive web app — installable on any device, works offline for viewing appointments, and feels native. No app store. No downloads. Just add to home screen.
The booking engine prevents double-bookings in real time, handles time zone edge cases, validates phone numbers, and processes payments seamlessly through Stripe — all without a single third-party booking widget.
